Frequently Asked Questions - London Plumbing Services
What services do you provide?
We handle all types of domestic plumbing. Our services include leak and burst-pipe repairs, tap and toilet replacements, shower and bath installations, radiator and valve work, unvented hot-water systems, kitchen and bathroom plumbing, and appliance connections.
For any gas-related work, we use fully qualified Gas Safe-registered engineers as required by UK law (Gas Safe Register).
Are you available 24 hours a day?
Yes — we provide 24/7 emergency plumbing across Greater London. Whether it’s a burst pipe, no hot water, or a leaking stopcock, our engineers are on call day and night. For non-urgent work, we offer fast same-day or next-day appointments depending on location and workload.
How quickly can you attend?
For emergencies, we aim to reach you as soon as possible — often within an hour in central areas. For standard repairs, same-day service is typical. Larger projects such as full bathroom installations are scheduled in advance with a clear start and finish date.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
We believe in transparent, fair pricing.
No call-out fee applies during normal working hours.
For out-of-hours emergencies (nights, weekends, or bank holidays), an attendance fee may apply, always confirmed before dispatch.
This approach ensures no hidden surprises.
What is your pricing model?
We offer fixed, upfront pricing wherever possible so you know the cost before work begins. For jobs that cannot be accurately estimated in advance, we work on an hourly rate plus materials, with clear communication at every step.
All quotes are provided in writing via email or text for your records.
Are your engineers qualified and insured?
Yes. Every plumber is fully qualified, trained, and covered by public liability insurance. Any gas work is carried out only by Gas Safe-registered engineers.
Our team also follows industry standards set by the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) for professionalism and safety.
Do you provide a guarantee or warranty?
Yes — all workmanship is guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months, and manufacturer warranties apply on any new parts or fixtures we install. We stand by the quality of our work and will return to resolve any issues covered under guarantee.
Which areas do you cover?
We cover Greater London and surrounding boroughs, including North London, East London, South London, and West London. If you’re just outside our main area, please call — we may still attend depending on distance and availability.
What plumbing standards and regulations do you follow?
Our work complies with all relevant UK standards, including:
Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 — protecting drinking-water quality.
Building Regulations Part G — covering sanitation, hot-water safety, and water efficiency.
Gas Safe Register Regulations — legally required for any gas work.
We use only approved WRAS-certified fittings and materials where applicable.
How should I prepare for your visit?
Please clear easy access to the work area and, if possible, locate your stop-tap in advance. For emergencies, turning the stop-tap off can reduce damage before we arrive. We’ll always leave your home clean and tidy after work.
Do you dispose of old parts and rubbish?
Yes — standard job waste and old fittings are removed as part of the service. Larger bathroom or kitchen rip-outs are quoted with disposal included or listed separately if additional waste removal is required.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer, debit/credit cards, and cash.
Payment is typically due upon completion of the job unless otherwise agreed. For larger installations, a deposit may be required with staged payments as the work progresses.
Do you work with landlords or businesses?
Yes — we provide plumbing services for landlords, letting agents, and commercial premises. We can supply documentation, invoices, and, where relevant, Gas Safe certificates for compliance records.
How do I book a plumber?
Provide your postcode, a short description of the issue, and photos if available. We’ll confirm pricing, availability, and the best time slot for your visit.
